Donald Trump and Co. after visiting Saudi Arabia center of Islam, Israel center of Judaism, now visits the Vatican and Pope as this is the center of Catholic Christianity since a large percentage of the world population is Roman Catholic. It’s a why don’t we all just get along and reach out all the faith leaders for their support.
When Trump rode a golden escalator, went to a male-only sword dance, and gave Muslim leaders a speech on Islam we thought his the first-leg of his foreign trip couldn’t get any weirder – we were wrong:
Let’s move forward now and let’s Speak Out Loud about #fashion and #conspiracy : With Vatican protocol in mind, the first lady arrived to meet the Pope on Wednesday wearing a black veil and long-sleeved Dolce and Gabbana black dress draped down to her calf. President Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, wore a similar outfit with a larger veil. Based on photographic evidence, accounts of the meeting, past Facebook beefing, and basic theological knowledge, the Pope was not super happy to be meeting with Donald J. Trump and co. These all may verify all CONSPIRACY theorists on WordPress (a lot of them) and elsewhere (unfortunately conspiracy is not just Worldpress ownership (!!evil!!) who claim that Melania Trump is actually an illuminaty and that her meteoric rise to the White House was made in order to become the most powerful woman in politics.

We can see on the viral photo that makes the tour of the web that the US president is smiling broadly, but no one else is: the Pope and Melania looked grim while Ivanka looks stoic. What a time to be alive!

Everyone remembers that the US President rightly predicted (oops!) that the Vatican would be attacked by ISIS, claimed that the Mexicans are “using the Pope as a pawn,” and said it was “disgraceful” for a “religious leader to question a person’s faith.” His adviser then burned the Vatican for its hypocrisy on Twitter. Would that make Trump the false prophet?

What we have in this visit of Trump’s clan at the Vatican is Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring 2011 campaign replicated almost exactly as Stephen Klein photographed it: the fitted black frocks, the black lace mantillas, the strained expressions barely concealing deep sadness and pain.
Dolce & Gabbana has become one of Melania's go-to labels and she is often spotted in pieces by the cult brand which was founded in 1985 by legendary designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. Dolce and Gabbana are renowned for their use of lace so there's no surprise this includes coats too. Lace isn't the first material you think of when it comes to outerwear but it certainly makes for an elegant look. Melania's exact coat isn't available but click right to shop a super similar style at Harrods. Or embrace lace for less with the picks below from Tahari, Darling, Liquorish and Boohoo.
And this is not the first time that Trumps wear Dolce & Gabbana.Melania Trump’s decision to wear a Dolce & Gabbana dress to a New Year’s Eve celebration has sparked a firestorm of controversy. Both Melania’s & Ivanka’s judicious use of suits could be perceived as statements about female empowerment in our society. But the fact that Melania is not simply nodding to the Dolce aesthetic here – which itself draws heavily from Catholicism – but is actually wearing Dolce & Gabbana, as the brand has breathlessly confirmed on social media, suggests that she could be making a bid for her first major Flotus fashion campaign.

There isn’t a single life form on the planet that remembers that in 2015 Elton John announced he was boycotting D&G because of the designers’ bigoted remarks about the children of same-sex families being “synthetic”.
“Per Vatican protocol, women who have an audience with the Pope are required to wear long sleeves, formal black clothing, and a veil to cover the head,” Stephanie Grisham, the first lady’s communications director, told CNN. When asked why she wore a veil at the Vatican but eschewed a head covering in Saudi Arabia, Grisham said there was no request or requirement for her attire from that country.
This is a weird image, not least because widow’s weeds are no longer compulsory for papal greetings. The fact that the Trumps voluntarily covered their heads for the Pope, immediately after going headscarf-free in Saudia Arabia, is especially thought-provoking!!!
Interesting, too, is the fact that in 2015 Donald Trump criticised Michelle Obama for doing the same. “Many people are saying it was wonderful that Mrs Obama refused to wear a scarf in Saudi Arabia,” read his wildly misspelt tweet, “but they were insulted. We have enuf enemies.”
On the other hand, Ivanka’s clothes feel even more considered, pointing at a continued desire to use cutting-edge fashion to distract us from Trump’s retrograde worldview. Whether visiting women’s groups in Saudi Arabia or posting images of herself at the Western Wall in the kind of deep contemplation last seen in a Geri Halliwell music video, she has worn outfits with slightly subversive touches: this season’s new “Spiky Cat” sunglasses and a £1,595 grey silk dress with tassel belt by Hillier Bartley, an under-the-radar British brand beloved of the liberal elite.
Melania also appeared to avoid taking her husband’s hand when they walked off Air Force One in Rome Tuesday night. Moreover, in an exchange shown by The Guardian , the pontiff jokingly asks the first lady: “What are you feeding him, potica?” The pontiff, shaking Melania’s hand, was referring to a popular Slovenian cake. What the Pope Really ment to say here?
